Randal H. Thomas is board certified in Workers’ Compensation law. He practices in the area of Workers’ Compensation insurance defense as well as Social Security and Private Disability.


After receiving his undergraduate degree, Randy worked as an all-lines insurance adjuster for Continental Insurance Company. This experience in adjusting insurance claims led to his interest in insurance defense. Randy worked for other Florida law firms prior to joining the firm of Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A. where he became a shareholder in 1992 and then starting his own law firm of Kelley Stiffler Thomas PLLC in April of 2003. In the last 4 years Randy has been representing clients in Social Security Disability, SSI and private disability cases. He has put to use his medical knowledge in helping these disabled clients.


Because of his expertise in the complex issues in the field of workers’ compensation law, he is also a noted speaker. He has given numerous presentations to employers, adjusters, attorneys, and risk managers on such topics as Learning the Ropes of Workers’ Compensation, Attorney’s Fees, The 1994 Law, The Florida Impairment Rating Guide, Burdens of Proof, Ethics, Permanent Total Disability, Settlements, Case Law Updates, 2003 Law Changes, the Lawyer/Doctor relationship in Workers’ Compensation; Spend money to make money in Workers’ Compensation.


In addition to managing his legal practice, Randy devotes time to the Lee County Association of Retarded Citizens, for which he serves as the secretary. He also is active in youth sports, coaching and managing his children’s teams.


Randy and his wife, Allison, have three children; Ryan, Elle and Zach.
